INS Vikramaditya was flagged off for the first time on 10 June 2012 after being re-modernised. The new INS Vikramaditya has the following salient features.
Its total displacement is 44500 tons.
INS Vikramaditya is 284 meters long and 20 meters tall.
The speed of walking in water is more than 30 kilometers.
Eight boilers have been installed to operate Vikramaditya.
Aircraft like MiG29K, Kamov 31 and Kamov 28, AHL Chetak can be landed in this warship aircraft.
There is a total of 20 storey building in which there are 22 days.
More than 16 hundred personnel have been kept in INS Vikramaditya.
These workers are given 100000 eggs, 20000 liters of milk and 16 tonnes of rice every month.
With the above provisions fully staffed, INS Vikramaditya can stay at sea for a period of about 45 days.
After modernisation, INS Vikramaditya is capable of covering a range of 7000 nautical miles or 13000 kms.
INS Vikramaditya is the first ship to have a four propeller-four soft configuration.
INS Vikramaditya is fitted with turbo alternators and 6 diesel alternators which generate 18 MW of power.
The warship ship is fitted with Long Range Air Surveillance Radar, Advanced Electronic Warfare Suite which can cover a distance of more than 500 kms.
INS Vikramaditya is capable of carrying more than 30 air lives.

INS Vikramaditya is equipped with Computer Aided X Information Organization System.
