While many schemes are launched by the government, again a new scheme has been launched for the promotion and benefit of girls. Which is the name of the plan. Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana through which daughters will benefit a lot.
Under Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana account can be opened for daughter under ten years of age. A minimum investment of Rs 250 per year is required in this account. 50 thousand can be invested during the year. A daughter can withdraw up to 50 percent when she turns 18.
Any daughter residing in India whose age is less than 10 years can avail Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana. A daughter can open account only once. A maximum of two accounts can be opened in a family.
If there are twins and both are daughters then both of them can open an account. An account can be opened at a post office or a branch of a bank.
Either parent can open an account in this scheme. If parents can open an account with a minimum of 250 rupees. A daughter can also open an account when she becomes more than ten years old.
