Because of that we all get sick. Whether it’s a cold, cough or stomach ache, grandma’s home remedies always come in handy. One such recipe is Ardusi. Slate plant is also mentioned in Ayurveda. Slate leaves are known by different names in different regions.
Ardusi is known in many places as Adus, Bacchus, Birsota, Rusa, Arusha, Adusa. This Ayurvedic herb is mostly found in hilly areas. Ayurvedic doctor Chandra Prakash Dixit says that this herb is more beneficial in cold and cough. Irrespective of the cold and cough, a decoction of its leaves cures the cold within a day or two.

This plant is a plant of the Acanthaceae family. The leaves of Ardusi are long and arranged in an upright arrangement at the apices of the branch. Its flowers are white in color and the inflorescence is clustered.
