We know that today is Ashadi Bija and Ashadi Bija means Lord Jananath’s day is the birth day of Lord Jagannath. This day is celebrated with pomp. The idol of Jagannath is a carved and decorated wooden stump with large round eyes and a symmetrical face, and the idol has a conspicuous absence of arms or legs.
