A few days ago Biporjoy cyclone caused havoc in the whole of Gujarat. Due to this storm generated in the Arabian Sea, it became a topic of discussion across Gujarat. The cyclone hit Kutch in Gujarat and moved towards Rajasthan. Its effect was more visible in Kutch and North Gujarat.
A meeting was held in Gandhinagar under the chairmanship of Relief Commissioner Alok Kumar Pandey regarding the damage caused in North Gujarat and Kutch. In this meeting, an official of IMD gave information about the damage caused due to Bporjoy cyclone.
The meeting was attended by relief commissioners from Agriculture Department, Irrigation and Sardar Sarovar Narmada Corporation, NDRF, SDRF, Power, Roads and Buildings, GSRTC, GSDMA, CWC, BISAG, Coast Guard, Animal Husbandry, Health, Forest, Commissioner (Municipality), Army and Urban Officials of all departments including Development, Panchayat, Education, Fisheries, Navy, Coast Guard, Border Security Force, Air Force, Army, Marine and ISRO reviewed detailed details of the damage caused in the affected districts as a result of Cyclone Biparjoy.

A report will be prepared regarding the loss caused to the farmers and herdsmen and they will get assistance accordingly. Assistance will be provided as the farmers’ crops have suffered a lot and the herdsmen’s animals have also been stressed.
