12000 police will be recruited including 6600 posts of unarmed police constable, 3302 posts of armed police constable, 1000 posts of SRP, 1013 posts of jail constables and 85 posts of women jail constables. PSI recruitment may be announced for 472 posts instead of 350. The Police Recruitment Board may issue an official notification regarding this shortly.
