The Indian team is on a tour of Ireland (IRE vs IND) for a three-match T20I series. The first match of the T20 series between the two teams will be played in Dublin on 18 August. Jasprit Bumrah has returned to the Indian team for this series and has also been made the captain.
India and Ireland have played 5 T20 Internationals so far, with India winning all 5 matches. In 2022, a series of two T20 matches was played between the two teams in Ireland itself, in which the Indian team won 2–0. This time too, India will have the upper hand in the three-match series.
But then in the seventh over, Yashasvi Jaiswal (24 runs) and Tilak Verma returned to the pavilion at zero. After which the match could not start again due to rain in Dublin and India won due to DLS rule. The third match of the series will be played on 20 August. Under the captaincy of Jasprit Bumrah, Team India would like to maintain the form, while Ireland will be looking for a comeback in the second T20.
